Former NUS Vice Chancellor Joins Board Of Raffles Medical Group...

Raffles Medical Group is proud to announce today the appointment of Professor Lim Pin as an Independent Director to its Board of Directors.

Prof Lim, the former vice chancellor of the National University of Singapore (NUS) from 1981 to 2000, is currently Professor of Medicine at NUS and Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at the National University Hospital.

Prof Lim is also NUS' first University Professor. He was conferred the university's highest academic appointment last year in recognition of his work and outstanding achievements. Under his stewardship, NUS established a firm reputation as a university of distinction in both teaching and research.

A highly respected academic, administrator and physician, Prof Lim chairs the Genetic Modification Advisory Committee (GMAS) and the Bioethics Advisory Committee, among his many appointments. He was also awarded the Distinguished Service Order at the National Day Awards last year.

Executive Chairman Dr Loo Choon Yong expressed a hearty welcome to Prof Lim, saying: "Prof Lim brings to Raffles Medical Group his invaluable wealth of experience. He has propelled NUS into a world class institution and I am honoured he is joining hands with us in charting RMG's expansion and growth as a centre of medical excellence locally and abroad."
